Get repair alerts on your phone: iPhone and Android
The short version
- Put UnitCare on your home screen so it opens like an app. There's nothing to download from an app store.
- Then go to Account → Turn on alerts on this device.
- You'll still get an email for every report, even without alerts.
iPhone and iPad
- Open unitcare.app/app in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open UnitCare from the new icon on your home screen.
- Go to Account → Turn on alerts on this device and tap Allow.
On iPhone, alerts only work when UnitCare is opened from the home screen icon, so step 4 matters.
Android
- Open unitcare.app/app in Chrome and sign in.
- Tap the ⋮ menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app.
- Go to Account → Turn on alerts on this device and tap Allow.
On your computer
Open UnitCare in Chrome, Edge or Firefox, go to Account → Turn on alerts on this device and allow notifications. Alerts pop up in the corner of your screen while your browser is open.
Not getting alerts?
- Check your phone's settings haven't turned off notifications for UnitCare.
- Turn off Focus or Do Not Disturb, or allow UnitCare through it.
- Turn alerts on again on each device you use. They're set per device.
- Check your spam folder for report emails, and mark them as "not spam".
